How You Can Help

There are two basic ways of helping with red squirrel conservation.

Firstly, if you wish to become active in red squirrel conservation in your area, visit the Members page to locate and contact your local group. If no local group exists and you would like to form one, contact Jackie (Cumbria) or Sally (Northumberland). Just click on the name to initiate an email. Alternatively, contact our hotline number 07732 644 694

If you do not wish to become formally involved. you can still provide valuable assistance by:

  • reporting your red and grey squirrel sightings on our special form and help us to monitor the success of our conservation work;
  • providing supplementary feeding, guidance for which can be found on the FAQs - Reds page;
  • making your garden red squirrel friendly, guidance for which can be found on the FAQs - Reds page;
